8 months are close to 34th week....doctor would decide what's better for the fetus and the mother.

it is hard to say for sure.  babies born before the 37th week is considered premature.  I think 10% of the babies are born premature, so it is not totally uncommon.  just that premature babies might sometimes have more health problems due to the fact that their organs were not fully developed.
