Jack learns about Kate's past as a fugitive. The signal party returns, but decides not to tell the others about the transmission. Sawyer shoots the dying marshal, thinking to relieve him of his misery. However, this only punctures his lung, so Jack - who had earlier rejected euthanasia as murder - finishes him off. Flashbacks show Kate's life on an Australian farm, until she is captured by the marshal.

haha    OMG   i am in episode 3 now but i still can't remember all of the characters    i know kate, jack, the pregnant girl, and the brother and sister ...   

you don't have to remember all the characters in episode 3.  and I promised you that you will remember, because each episode they focus on one character.

i have one episode that is special preview    it's like put the whole season 1 on whole in 40 mins and i watched it last nite   

and i saw him died     i shouldn't watch that episode    too bad
