Backup connection between two switches

Hello,
The loop is connected to a box that has an ethernet connection to the server which is in the timing trailer. The server (a unit made by AMB) has multiple ethernet ports on it that we connect the transponder and the two computers to.

That's the general setup, however, in our case we have to cross a dragstrip to get the two devices networked together. Rather than dig under the dragstrip to get the cable across, we are sending the signal across the dragstrip with directional WiFi antennas.

This setup works great. We were discussing a situation that might come up: What if the WiFi across the track quits?

We could have a switch at both sides. What we are wondering is if it is possible to have TWO connections between two switches, one of which would be a backup if the main one failed.

We're just looking for redundancy.

I hope I have described the situation sufficiently. If you have any questions, I will try to answer as best I can.

Thanks for any help offered

Thank You
