How To Use Winavi converter rm to Kvcd

It should not be hard.  Have you tried the software and did you get stuck anywhere?

The idea is:  You want to convert the rmvb or rm to MPEG-1 format.  Then you may use software like Nero to burn those MPEG-1 files into a VCD.

If you have trouble opening the rmvb/rm file in WinAVI, you might want to install a codec pack such as K-Lite Codec Pack. [url]http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm[/url]

I main KVCD not VCD

Sorry that I misunderstood.

I think the key is how to convert the RM file to a MPG file with one audio channel that contains music and the other channel contains the vocal (if possible). After that, you can just burn the MPG files to a regular VCD using Nero.

I have no idea how to do the first step.  Hopefully others can help.

你所講的 KVCD 係咪將好多集劇集...全部燒入一隻 DVD 內呀....

如果係呢一個的話..你可以用 tmpgenc dvd author 做到呢一個效果..

首先..你用 winavi 將 rm or rmvb 檔轉成 mpg 檔

然後再用  tmgpenc 將佢地全部合併埋一齊...

KVCD 基本上係 mpeg1, 祇不過唔用 CBR 而用 VBR 黎壓制。 同曾經流行過的 x-vcd 相似﹐而 KVCD template 用既 quantize matrix 係改良過﹐比起 X-vcd 更能將檔案壓縮得更細同埋清晰。(其實我覺得冇乜分別﹐出黎效果一樣咁差)。

標準 VCD MPEG1 既規格係唔可以用 variable bitrate (VBR)﹐燒落 VCD 碟度﹐好多機都唔支援。祇有燒落 DVD 碟先至得。

以前可以兼容 AVI 既 DVD 機唔普及﹐先至話用 KVCD﹐而家仲玩呢 D ﹖好似 out 0左0的...

但如果會員 HaWin 原本既 RMVB 檔係未曾將人聲移除﹐咁轉出黎既 MPEG1 都只不過係 stereo 既 MTV﹐係嘛?

咁點先可以將 RMVB 裡既人聲移除呢?

開發呢個 KVCD 格式班人係用 Tmpgenc 作為壓制工具﹐所以個 template 祇能用0係 Tmpgenc 度。 而想用其它轉檔工具﹐又想用類似 KVCD 既 template 話﹐ 可以用 VBR mpeg1 方法。Winavi 內的 "mpeg1" 製作就可以。

ageless﹐咁我真係誤會晒!  我以為係同一樣野添!  咁除左壓製方式唔同外﹐個 mpeg 播出黎有咩唔同呢?  同埋我之前講既左右聲度分開人聲音樂聲問題又點處理架呢?

用 KVCD template 壓出黎 d mpeg 0係電視播時會睇得出有唔同。顏色深 d.

有好幾種方法0既。 最簡單莫過於用  Tmpgenc Mpeg Editor.

there is no such a choice in the winavi.......
there are only mpeg to avi or mpeg to rm,
but no reverse wor???
how ar? and what's the different between mmpeg and mpg?

TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 同 TMPGEnc Plus 裡面既 MPEG Tools 唔同架呵??

I think it allows rmvb to mpeg conversion.  See the description page from winavi.com below:

MPEG and MPG are the same thing.  But MPEG itself has MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-3, and MPEG-4 (or MPG1, MPG2, MPG3, and MPG4).  VCD is using MPG1.  DVD is using MPG2.  MPG3 is MP3.  MPG4 is another format.  

Please correct if I am wrong.  :)

I just installed the Trial version of WinAVI.  And got the answer for you. :)

You want to click on "To DVD" icon, and select the source video (your rmvb file), then the next dialog box will have a dropdown list to allow you to select the Output Format.  MPEG1 is in the list.

Thank you so much for your help, there is someone told me the same step as what you said above,
and I also try it.....and my pc got hang......well, I believe there must be a problem of the software
which I download, therefore I uninstall it and get another software called"cucusoft", this one is much better
and easy to use.^.^ Anyways, thanks for your help.

I usually use TmpGenc to make KVCD,first of all you must have the Template for KVCD.Than use TMPGEnc DVD Author to make a disk....Then you can very easy to create KVCD...
有一点古怪是用电脑来看做出来的FILE 会是窄及长...在dvd上play 就正常了,还有一定要在DVD play to play ,VCD player can not play it.....
PS.IF you can't found the Template for TmpGenc ,give me a msg....
